The Outer Banks Health Development Council is excited to announce the inaugural Cancer Shucks! Oyster Roast and Low Country Boil on Friday, October 27th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Pirate’s Cove Pavilion in Manteo. Guests will enjoy live music by the Blue Crab Boys, an oyster roast and low country boil catered by Tom Thumb’s Cookouts, beverages (including beer and wine), and a commemorative event giveaway!
All proceeds from this event stay locally to support Outer Banks Health’s OBX Cancer Cares Fund, which supports programs and services that are vital for cancer patients and survivors. In addition to thousands of free cancer screenings annually for members of our community, the OBX Cancer Cares Fund provides patient resources, early detection and educational events, and programs such as Look Good, Feel Better, Cancer Transitions, and a free wig program.
