The Outer Banks Association of REALTORS’® (OBAR) biggest event of the year, REALTOR®Fest, will take place this Friday, November 4th, at R/C Movie Theatres in KDH from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with check-in starting at 8:30 a.m. This expo is open to the public. Do not live with FOMO—register today!
Registration is $35 online or $50 at the door, with online registration ending at noon, Thursday. The registration fee includes coffee from Ashley’s Espresso Parlour, a boxed lunch from Johanna’s Catering Café Lachine, popcorn and beverage from the theatre, a raffle ticket to be in the drawing for several raffle prizes, and a chance at a grand prize worth $500.
The event kicks off with a keynote speech by “8 Continent Marathon Man” Matt Jones who survived three types of cancer, and after learning how to walk again, started running marathons. His story is one of strength, hope, and inspiration. REALTOR®Fest also features 35 vendors with a lot of swag, including social media experts, photographers, town and county planning managers, mortgage lenders, FORTIFIED roofing experts, insurance agents, closing and party gifts suppliers, and much, much more.
Presentations will be held simultaneously in three theatres throughout the day. Sessions include panels on the due diligence process, property insurance, FORTIFIED roofing (and how to get a grant for $6,000 towards a new roof), plus presentations on social media, Google tips, financial planning, and other interesting topics.
There will also be a blood drive with The Blood® Connection in memory of OBAR Past President David Pergerson in the parking lot of the theatre from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome but registering online is preferred.
