The Dare County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following property crimes last month:

October 6, 2022

Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicles.  200 block of Langley Lane, Roanoke Island.  A variety of personal items stolen from unlocked vehicles.  A juvenile suspect was identified and will be charged accordingly.

October 6, 2022

Financial Card Fraud.  400 block of Harbour View Drive, Colington.  Fraudulent charge discovered on victim’s credit card.

October 10, 2022

Financial Card Fraud.  7000 block of US Hwy 64, Manns Harbor.  Social Services funds were stolen by a third party.  Investigation being handled by Social Services.

October 18, 2022

Obtaining Property by False Pretenses.  300 block of Colington Road, Colington.  Unauthorized transaction on bank card.

October 18, 2022

Larceny of Motor Vehicle.  Mashoes Road, Manns Harbor.  Vehicle lended to a family member who refused to return it.  Suspect and vehicle were later located.  The suspect was arrested and the vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.

October 18, 2022

Assault by Strangulation.  100 block of Knight Court, Colington.  Boyfriend strangled girlfriend during a domestic dispute.  Boyfriend was arrested for the assault.

October 23, 2022

Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle.  41000 block of Ocean View Drive, Avon.  Alcohol stolen from the bed of a truck.

October 24, 2022

Larceny.  50000 block of Kings Point Drive, Frisco.  Fishing equipment stolen from the bed of a truck.

October 28, 2022

Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle.  900 block of Marshall C. Collins Drive, Roanoke Island.  Financial cards reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
