With the new tank in service, it’s time for the old Kill Devil Hills water tower to come down.
The new 160-foot, 400,000 gallon elevated water tank went online in June — and a town-owned, 180-foot cell tower beside it is now operational.
The 55-year-old, 200,000-gallon water tank at the fire station is scheduled for demolition on Tuesday and Wednesday, the town said in a capital improvements update.
