GEM (Gentle Expert Memorycare) we will be partnering with Spring Arbor and Susan Stroud at this Saturday’s Harmony Café.

What is a Memory Café? A Memory Cafe is a wonderfully welcoming place for individuals with Alzheimer’s or any type of the dementias or other brain disorders. Memory cafes have spread across the nation and are offering those living with dementia and their caregivers a chance to socialize with others.

Individual memory cafes focus on different aspects for a unique experience. The GEM Center’s “Harmony Café” is activities-based. The cafe has been meeting since October 2016 and thanks Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church for their ongoing support.

Spring Arbor is sponsoring a delicious lunch and craft led by Whitney Wright with fresh flowers. Susan Stroud, will lead in bell ringing. The group will also enjoy a chair exercise class and opportunity to visit with old friends and make some new ones.

The event begins at 11 a.m.
