Celebrate Earth Fair OBX with the NC Coastal Federation in Dowdy Park

The North Carolina Coastal Federation (NCCF) invites you to come celebrate Earth Fair OBX at Dowdy Park in Nags Head and participate in a variety of engaging activities on Friday, April 22nd, from 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will bring together many Outer Banks organizations that offer environmental education and participants are sure to learn something new.

The NCCF hopes you’ll join them back in person for this once-a-year event designed to promote environmental awareness and inspire a sense of environmental stewardship along our precious coast. This year’s event will include live music from Nature Out Loud, family-friendly activities and so much more!

Attendants will have the chance to meet representatives from organizations that work hard to preserve the ecosystems and scenic beauty that have made the Outer Banks famous around the world. Participating organizations include: Dare County Soil and Water; Island Snowball Company; Jennette’s Pier; Jockey’s Ridge State Park; N.C. Coastal Federation; N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island; N.E.S.T.; U.S. Fish and Wildlife.

The North Carolina Coastal Federation is proud to be once again taking part in the Earth Fair OBX event. “I’m very excited that the Coastal Environmental Educators Network is able to bring Earth Fair OBX back to the community this year. Earth Day is a perfect chance to celebrate all the unique habitats we have in the region,” said Coastal Educator Sara Hallas. “I hope the event will bring continued inspiration for how we can all contribute to protecting these natural habitats all year long.”

Earth Fair OBX will be an afternoon full of festivities for the entire family to enjoy. This event is free and open to the public. Dowdy Park is located at 3005 S Croatan Hwy, Nags Head, NC 27959.
