The Town of Duck has announced that their winter town park/sound clean up is scheduled for Saturday, December 10 (with a tentative rain date of December 17). The cleanup will start at 10:00 a.m. and is aimed to be completed by noon with lunch being provided for all of those that can help.
Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle and work gloves if you have some.
Getting down into the water and mud of the sound not your thing? That is ok! The Town also need people to help clean up the park area, the village area, as well as be on the boardwalk to assist those down in the sound area by pointing out trash that they may not be able to see and to help haul bags back to the dumpsters when full.
The clean up is in conjunction with the Duck Sweep program with the mission of keeping our Town clean and litter free (or as much as possible).
