Get ready for yet another big blow Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday thanks to another coastal low bombing out as it sprints along the Outer Banks.

The National Weather Service says the system has the potential to produce strong winds, high surf, and minor coastal flooding concerns, with the greatest flood threat along the soundside of Hatteras and Ocracoke islands.

A High Wind Warning and High Surf Advisory begin Tuesday at 2 p.m., and a Coastal Flood Advisory for the soundside areas at 5 p.m.

All of the advisories are currently set to expire Wednesday morning as the storm rapidly pulls away to the northeast.

Even though the storm is going to run through here fairly quickly, it is forecast to dump quite a bit of rain in a short amount of time.

That may cause travel problems along the usual rainwater flood-prone spots on N.C. 12. and other area roads.
