William Franklin Bechtel, Jr., age 63, of South Mills, NC died on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at his residence. Born in Norfolk, VA on January 1, 1959 to the late William Franklin Bechtel and Bessie Lee Pope Bechtel, he was a roofer by trade.
He is survived by an aunt, Della Garnes; and cousins, Danny Garnes, Teddy Garnes, Ginger Woodington, Terry McKenzie, Cathy Kay, Steve Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Lisa Pope, Vicky Pope, Bobby Pope, Brandon Pope, Shannon Pope and Jenna Pope.
