William “Buddy” Knowles, age 85, of South Mills, NC died on Friday, July 15, 2022 at his home. Born in South Mills on May 22, 1937 to the late William Washington Knowles and Hazel O’Kelly Knowles, he was the widower of Phyllis Ray Knowles. Mr. Knowles was a farmer.
He is survived by two daughters; Beverly Compton (Noah) and Debrah Hogan (Jamie) all of South Mills, NC; one son, William E. Knowles of South Mills, NC; three sisters; three brothers; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service at Westlawn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022 with Minister C. Ronald Stuart officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel.
