Willa Collins Hoskinson of Grandy, NC, formerly of Bridgeport, WV, and Manassas, VA, passed away on November 1, 2022. She was born December 6, 1940, to Rev. Manley O. Collins and Wanoka Morrison Collins. She was pre-deceased by her parents; and two sisters, Deloris Collins Cain and Darlene Collins Scott; and brother, David L. Collins.
Willa is survived by Floyd Hoskinson, Sr., her husband of 62 years; a son, Floyd Hoskinson, Jr.; a daughter, Darla Younts and her husband, Patrick Younts; five grandchildren, Marissa Younts Meyer and her husband, Timon Meyer, Cullen Younts and his wife, Samantha Younts, Lee Hoskinson and his partner, Tracy Turner, Tyler Hoskinson and his wife, Maria Berbecaru, Chase Hoskinson and his wife, Pooja Hoskinson; five great-grandchildren, Haeden Hoskinson, Walden Hoskinson, Dominic Younts, Leilani Meyer, and Isabella Younts. She is also survived by two brothers, Manley Collins, Jr. and Wendell Collins, and several nieces and nephews.
Willa graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1958 and from Fairmont State College in 1960 with a degree in Secretarial Studies.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Grandy with Reverend Dr. Ken “Rob” Robinson officiating. At her request Willa’s body will be cremated.
