Wiley “Buddy” Dwight Hooper II, 67, of Kitty Hawk, NC died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, NC. from complications of pneumonia.
Born in Norfolk, VA on November 26, 1955, he was the son of the late Phyllis Wise Hooper and Wiley Dwight Hooper, Sr.
Buddy earned an associate degree in Parks and Recreation from Radford University. His later life career was spent in Binghamton, New York as a custodian for the public school system.
He is survived by his beloved son, David Li-Hooper; sister, Betty Hooper of Kitty Hawk, NC; and two brothers, David Hooper of Norfolk, VA and Mike Hooper of Virginia Beach, VA.
Buddy will be remembered for being a kind and gentle person who was a loving father, caring, and helpful brother, and faithful friend.
The family will have a private memorial and celebration of life.
