Due to the increase in visitation this off season, the Whalebone Welcome Center will be open every Friday and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until their normal operating hours resume on March 1.
The Whalebone Welcome Center is a Seashore building operated by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau. The center provides information on attractions, events, and directions.
Cape Point and Frisco campgrounds will open for the 2021 camping season on Friday, April 2nd. They will remain open until Monday, November 29, 2021.
Oregon Inlet and Ocracoke campgrounds are currently open. Reservations and camp site payments can only be made at www.recreation.gov.
