Wawa to celebrate grand opening, ribbon cutting in Kill Devil Hills on May 16

Wawa will commemorate the grand opening of its first North Carolina location in Kill Devil Hills on May 16 at 10 a.m. in which a ceremonial ribbon cutting is set to take place.
Among the highlights, Wawa’s CEO will discuss the company’s continued expansion efforts, the Coast Guard Foundation and Special Olympics North Carolina will receive grants from The Wawa Foundation, and local first responders will face off in a “Hoagies for Heroes” hoagie-building competition benefitting the charities of their choice. A celebratory history parade entitled “Wawa Through the Ages,” which visually highlights Wawa’s key milestones, is also on the agenda for attendees.

In addition, the first 250 customers will receive commemorative t-shirts with mascots Wally Goose and Shorti on-site for dancing and photos with the kids!

Wawa is located at 1900 Croatan Hwy. in Kill Devil Hills.
