Several Wanchese residents have posted on Facebook they’ve found nails have been left in their driveways in recent days.
According to a post and comments in the private Wanchese Community Group on Facebook, it appears it’s not just someone accidentally losing a box of nails off their truck. Multiple people said they have discovered what they feel is attempted vandalism in multiple locations.
We are checking with the Dare County Sherriff’s Office about the reports, and will update the story as we get more information.
