Virginia men arrested on felony cocaine, marijuana, weapons counts in Kill Devil Hills

Two men from Virginia are facing multiple felony drug and weapons-related counts after their arrest Thursday afternoon in Kill Devil Hills.

Dare County Sheriff’s Office Deputies working the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the First Street Beach Access around 4:30 p.m.

During the traffic stop, an amount of cocaine, marijuana and two handguns were located and seized, according to Dare County Sherrif Doug Doughtie.

The Dare County Narcotics Task Force assisted with the investigation and a search warrant was executed on a motel room in Kill Devil Hills where more cocaine, marijuana and cash was located and seized.

Andrew Daniel Barrows, 28, of Virginia Beach and Christian Adam Lane, 30, of New Kent were both charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking of cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana.

Barrows was being held at the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $175,000 bond, while Lane was being held in lieu of $250,000.
