The Children and Youth Partnership of Dare County has launched a new initiative called Champions for Children, which includes video and audio features each week spotlighting those helping children, youth and families thrive in our community.

Donna Roark and Tammy Batschelet, children’s librarians at the Dare County Libraries, have been chosen as the first Champions for Children.

Donna and Tammy are well-loved by families in our community. On a weekly basis, they provide fun and exciting programs for children and youth along with guidance and knowledge about books and reading.

Please join us in thanking Tammy and Donna for all they do for our community.

If you know someone that is a Champion for Children, you can nominate them by calling the Children and Youth Partnership of Dare County 252-441-0614 or emailing
