VIDEO: Hatteras Fire Department bandit may have stolen from other first responders

The Hatteras Fire Department has released video of a young man who burglarized the station two days in a row, and officials say he may have stolen from other area first responders, as well.

Do you recognize this person? Same young man, 2 nights in a row. On further investigation we found that he entered our conference room. and walked right by the camera. We have been led to believe that this person has also visited other departments in the area and stolen equipment. If you know this person, you can anonymously call the Dare county sheriffs office 252-475-5980 or the Dare community Crime line, 252-4753-3111. Or contactUs on here. Although this person has not visited or entered our station again, this needs to stop. Stealing equipment and supplies from first responders is not only a crime but it does not allow us to help those in need.

Shortly after midnight on both July 15 and 16, the intruder rode his bike to the station in Hatteras village, and went inside through a window. He was captured on video going through the apparatus, and stealing medical supplies and some other items two nights in a row.
