VIDEO: Dare County honors local emergency medical services in video commemorating National EMS Week

Dare County, in partnership with Current TV, has released a video that honors the ongoing commitment and tireless dedication that Dare County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff members provide to the residents and visitors of the Outer Banks community.

Titled, “Dare County EMS: Rising to the Challenge,” the video has been released in celebration of National EMS Week, which is being held May 15-21, 2022. EMS Week offers an opportunity to recognize all members of the Dare County EMS team who stand ready to provide medical assistance and lifesaving care to Dare County’s residents and visitors, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The video features Dare County EMS Director Jennie Collins, who shares information about her department’s duties as they serve on the front lines of the Outer Banks community.

In celebration of EMS Week 2022—whose theme is “Rising to the Challenge”—Dare County EMS is currently hosting a coloring contest for children as well as a poster contest for teenagers and adults.
