VIDEO: Dare County celebrates National EMS Week

Dare County, in partnership with Current TV, has released a video that honors the ongoing commitment and tireless dedication that Dare County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff members provide to the residents and visitors of the Outer Banks community.

Titled, “Dare County EMS: Caring for Our Communities,” the video has been released in celebration of National EMS Week, which is being held May 16-22, 2021. EMS Week offers an opportunity to recognize all members of the Dare County EMS team who stand ready to provide medical assistance and lifesaving care to Dare County’s residents and visitors, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The video features Dare County EMS Director Jennie Collins, who shares information about her department’s duties as they serve on the front lines of the Outer Banks community. Despite the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Dare County EMS has continued to respond to those in need and has also maintained the highest standard of medical care.

In celebration of EMS Week 2021—whose theme is “This is EMS: Caring for Our Communities”—Dare County EMS is currently hosting a coloring contest for children as well as a poster contest for teenagers and adults.
