VIDEO: Chairman Bob Woodard update on vaccines, COA and dredge construction

Dare County Board of Commissioners Chairman Bob Woodard has released a video message addressing Dare County residents and visitors to the Outer Banks community.

In the video, Woodard comments on the current status of COVID-19 in Dare County, as well as the county’s high vaccination rates that make it a leader in the state of North Carolina.

Woodard also reminds residents and property owners that all individuals age 16 and older are now eligible to receive the vaccine. To request an appointment, visit www.DareNC.com/CovidVaccine or call 252.475.5008.

In addition, Woodard highlights two historic happenings that took place within the past week—one that occurred at the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills and another that occurred 173 million miles away, on the surface of planet Mars.

Chairman Woodard also provides updates to a series of projects that are currently underway in Dare County, including College of The Albemarle’s new academic building, renovations being completed on the Department of Health & Human Services campus, and the new dredge that is being constructed in Louisiana.
