Veteran Benefits Administration, Vet Center reps to attend Dare Days on June 1

Dare County Department of Health & Human Services’ Veterans Services Division is pleased to announce that the Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA) and the VetCenter mobile counseling unit will be on hand at Dare Days in Manteo on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

“It’s a perfect opportunity to come out and talk to representatives about concerns or questions you may have while enjoying the camaraderie and fun this event always provides,” said Patty O’Sullivan, Dare County Veterans Services Officer. Dare Days will be held in downtown Manteo from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

The VBA will be located at the Veterans Advisory Booth during the event, with the mobile counseling unit expected to be close by. A service of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Vet Center is based in Greenville and now offers mental health counseling services to local Veterans.The Vet Center is one of many small, non-medical counseling centers across the country available exclusively to Veterans.
