Velma Lee Rose Stumph, 93, of Kill Devil Hills, NC died Monday, August 22, 2022, at her home.
Born in Rosefork, KY on September 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Rosa Little and Ambrose Rose.
Velma worked as an administrator in the medical industry. She was a Seventh Day Adventist who loved her church and family.
In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll H. Stumph; son, Mark Daniel Stumph; three sisters, Marie, Blanche, and Evelyn; and one brother, Benjamin.
Velma is survived by her son, David C. Stumph; two grandchildren, David M. Stumph and Stacey Stumph Harrington; one great-granddaughter, Leah Danielle Harrington; and one sister, Virginia Davenport.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo with Rev. Dr. Susanna W. Fitch-Slater officiating. Entombment will follow at Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens.
