Updated: COA Dare graduate parade postponed to June 2 due to weather forecast

Updated, Tuesday 2:30 p.m.: Because of the forecast of inclement weather on Thursday, the drive-thru graduate parade celebration for College of the Albemarle Dare students has been rescheduled for Tuesday, June 2 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Russell Twiford location on Roanoke Island.

The second of two drive-thru graduate celebrations at the Elizabeth City campus is happening today from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Students that were set to graduate this spring semester have been invited to attend. Students will be given their diploma, a gift bag with COA items and alumni association info, a sign for their yard identifying them as a COA grad, and have their picture taken with Finn the mascot, if they so choose.

Graduation for all 2020 graduates is still planned for July 30, 2020, depending upon where the state is at in terms of restrictions from the Governor’s office.
