The remnants of Hurricane Laura, which devastated the Gulf coast of western Louisiana last as a Category 4 storm, are expected to bring some strong to severe storms and possibly minor flooding today to eastern North Carolina.

Damaging winds and an isolated tornado or two will be possible, as well as minor water rise of one to two feet above normal north of Cape Hatteras, the National Weather Service said.
