Federal, state and local agencies, including the National Park Service, Hyde County, and the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management are requesting that all vehicles, golf carts, boats, trailers, recreational vehicles, and other equipment be removed from the NPS parking lot at the boat ramps, also known as the Base Docks, in Ocracoke Village.

The inter-agency response associated with recovery from Hurricane Dorian will need to use the parking area to facilitate recovery actions that support the community.

In order to stage equipment and resources, all items should be removed by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, September 16. Vehicles not removed from the lot will be subject to removal.
