A two-story home in Lower Currituck County was a total loss after a fire Tuesday afternoon.
Crews were called to the 400 block of Poplar Branch Road at 3:37 p.m. and battled the flames for several hours.
Lower Currituck Volunteer Fire Department Deputy Chief Hayden Poulin said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
No one was injured, and the residents were being assisted by family members, Poulin said.
Units from Lower Currituck, Crawford Township, Moyock, Currituck County Fire and EMS, Southern Shores and Kitty Hawk fire departments responded to the fire.
