Two Outer Banks restaurants temporarily closed after employees test positive for COVID-19

Two Outer Banks restaurants have temporarily closed so that employees can be tested for coronavirus after both reported employees testing positive for the virus.

Rooster’s Southern Kitchen in Kill Devil Hills posted on Facebook it would be closed for brunch and lunch Sunday so members of front-of-the-house staff could be tested. On Saturday, a part-time employee who has not been at the restaurant in the last seven days, tested positive.

Rooster’s contracted with a lab for rapid testing and hoped to open for dinner tonight.
