A two-alarm fire early Sunday heavily damaged an unoccupied home in the Sea Hawk neighborhood in southern Duck.
Firefighters were called to the 100 block of East Sea Hawk Drive at 3:21 a.m., where they found the house fully engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control in about 60 minutes.
No injuries have been reported.
Fire crews were involved in overhaul and cleanup efforts late this morning, according to a Town of Duck news release. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the Dare County Fire Marshal.
Along with Town of Duck firefighters, members of the Southern Shores Volunteer Fire Department, Corolla Fire and Rescue, Kitty Hawk Fire Department, Kill Devil Hills Fire Department and Dare County EMS also responded.
