Get yourselves some socks for those sandals, we might be getting a little snow.
The National Weather Service has expanded winter weather advisories for mainland Dare and Hyde counties to include the entire Outer Banks from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday and for Currituck County from midnight to 9 a.m.
Rain is expected to mix with snow late this evening as a coastal low approaches the Outer Banks, bringing high winds, rain and yes, maybe even an inch or two of snow.
Snow total predictions have also increased a bit, with the weather service now calling for 1-2 inches for Duck to Nags Head, and more north of Highway 264.
The weather service says to plan on slippery road conditions for the Thursday morning commute.
Wind will also be an issue, with north winds of 25 to 35 mph expected, and gusts 45 to 50 mph, Thursday into Thursday night.
The strong winds could also produce minor coastal flooding from Buxton south to Ocracoke along the Pamlico Sound into Thursday night, with water level rises of 1 to 2 feet above ground a possibility.
