UPDATED: Slice Pizzeria raises $7,500 for Tatum Love

Slice Pizzeria sold 750 pizzas during Monday’s fundraiser for Tatum Love, raising $7,500.

Tatum, 16, was critically injured in a Jan. 26 crash in Kill Devil Hills and remains hospitalized in Norfolk. She is making progress, but has a long way to go.

“The outpouring of love and support from the OBX community and beyond continues to amaze…I’m not sure we could be dealing with this without it,” her family wrote on Tatum’s Caring Bridge page. “We are absolutely blown away by how strong and caring our friends and community truly are! Thank you doesn’t begin to cover it!! Keep the positive vibes and prayers coming.. we can feel it!”

Slice Pizzeria in Kill Devil Hills donated $10 for every pizza sold Monday to the Tatum family. The pizza fundraiser is over, but you can still donate to the GoFundMe here. By early Tuesday afternoon, more than $94,000 had been donated.
