Kitty Hawk police identify driver in Rite Aid hit-and-run

Kitty Hawk police have identified the driver in a hit-and-run March 20 at the Rite Aid.

Kitty Hawk police on Friday said officers have identified a woman wanted in a March 20 hit-and-run in the parking lot of the Rite Aid.

Rite Aid Hit and Run

On March 20, 2019 around 6 p.m. a black pick-up truck struck a silver pick-up truck in the Rite Aid of Kitry Hawk parking lot and then left the scene. Surveillance captured the collision as well as a picture of the driver. In this video the person wearing the gray hooded sweatshirt that walks into the store is the driver of the truck. Surveillance captured the collision as well as a picture of the driver. In the video, the person wearing the gray hooded sweatshirt walking into the store was the driver, police said.

On Friday, police said the driver had been identified and thanked the community for their tips.
