Kitty Hawk karate and massage therapy studio owner charged with sex offenses

The owner of a karate and massage therapy studio in Kitty Hawk has been charged with a pair of sex offenses, after an extensive investigation by local police and the district attorney’s office.

Michael Keith Seal, 55, of Kill Devil Hills, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony second degree forcible sexual offense and misdemeanor sexual battery.

The Kitty Hawk Police Department also served a search warrant on Seal’s business on Tuesday, according to Chief Joel Johnson.

Second degree forcible sexual offense is a class C felony, punishable by 58 to 73 months in prison. Other details about the case were not released.

Seal was released from the Dare County Detention Center after posting a $30,000 secured bond.
