ISO: Photos of Jockey’s Ridge for new exhibits

Jockey’s Ridge State Park is expanding its visitors’ center building and replacing the exhibits.

Construction is set to begin after Labor Day 2019 and may take up to nine months, Friends of Jockey’s Ridge said in a Facebook post. The group is looking for high quality photographs of Jockey’s Ridge to be used in displays in the museum.

The non-profit is seeking donated artwork of the park, with credit to the photographer. The work will be displayed at the visitor’s center, which sees about 1.5 million visitors a year.

The group’ wants photos of anything taken at Jockey’s Ridge — flora and fauna, landscapes, people at play, events, activities and historical scenes.

Email photographs to photosofjockeysridge@gmail.com with any questions or your photo submissions. If the file is too large, bring submissions by the visitor’s center for download.
