Island Free Press: Free COVID-19 testing next week on Ocracoke

The Hyde County Health Department announced on Friday that Ocracoke will host a drive-through COVID-19 testing event on Thursday, July 30.

The event will take place at the National Park Service Ocracoke Boat Ramp Parking lot, and will begin at 2:00 p.m.

The testing event is open to residents of Hyde, Dare, Martin, Tyrell, and Washington counties who are at least 10-years-old, and appointments are required in order to get tested.

Appointments can be made by calling 252-926-4382 or 252-926-4397.

Individuals who are tested will not incur any out-of-pocket costs, and folks are advised to bring their ID and insurance card.
