As a proactive step, First Flight High School will be closed for the rest of the day to sanitize and disinfect the building, school officials said.
School officials said there are no positive COVID-19 cases among students or staff, but there is a “stakeholder who may have been exposed and was on campus.”
The school will reopen tomorrow at 8 a.m. Students are expected to begin returning to class in-person on a half-time hybrid schedule next week.
The school’s safety team plans to sanitize and disinfect the entire building today.
Some students were on campus this morning to pick up parking passes but they were restricted to building access and did not enter beyond the safety airlock at the front door, school officials said. Today’s closure does include preseason afternoon sports workouts.
