Courses at East Carolina University begin Monday, but some students are concerned — not about being on campus — but about unsanitary living conditions at multiple student complexes in Greenville.
News Channel 12 was informed about these conditions on Saturday when a prospective resident, and their family, reached out to the newsroom with photos of the conditions.
Parents and students complained that the conditions at Copper Beech, a student apartment complex, were unlivable and that nobody with the complex could provide answers about when the apartments would be ready for students to move in.
Photos sent into the newsroom showed various amounts of dirt, other debris, leftover food, stained carpeting and other safety concerns.
