UPDATED: Dare County’s coronavirus case count climbs to 21

Dare County’s coronavirus case count climbed to 21 on Sunday. No details have been released about the three new cases, which were posted on the county’s website at noon.

Of Dare’s now 21 cases, 14 have recovered or have been asymptomatic and one has died. Until this weekend, the number of cases in Dare County had remained at 18 for more than a week.

Statewide, there were 14,764 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases in 99 counties Saturday, with 547 deaths and 442 hospitalized. More than 186,000 tests have been performed.
