The Dare County League of Women Voters, partnering with the North Carolina Coastal Federation, is sponsoring virtual candidate forums this year for the Dare Board of Commissioners and Dare Board of Education races.

Due to COVID-19, the forums will be virtual but also afford the opportunity for voters to see and hear their candidates speak and respond to questions about the issues that are important to them.

The forums will be held on the Zoom webinar platform and are scheduled for:

Board of Commissioners Candidate Forum: Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.
To register: CLICK HERE If you have a question for the BOC candidates send to DareLWV@gmail.com. Please include your name and town.

Participating candidates include: Steve House, Kathy McCullough-Testa, Amanda Hooper Walters, Bob Woodard, Danny Couch and Wally Overman.

Board of Education Candidate Forum: Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.

The league is collecting questions now to be asked of the candidates. The forums will also be videotaped and available on YouTube, Current TV, and other local outlets.
