Dare County announces nine new coronavirus cases Thursday

The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services announced nine new coronavirus cases on Thursday, for a total of 75 since testing began in March.

The latest cases include:
A male resident 25-29 years of age, home isolation
Two male residents 50-64 years of age, home isolation
A male non-resident 18-24 years of age, isolating in Dare
A male resident 17 – years of age, home isolation
Two male resident 18-24 years of age, home isolation
Two male non residents, 25-49 years of age, one isolating in Dare and the other transferred to their home county

Statewide, North Carolina has seen 57,183 cases, with 891 currently hospitalized. More than 800,000 have been tested. The test to positive rare on Thursday was at 9 percent.
