Chamber offering free groceries to unemployed hospitality workers Friday

The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce this week collected funds through a “Grocery Store Challenge,” asking for enough donations to fill at least 30 grocery bags for unemployed hospitality workers.

On Friday, March 27, those unemployed workers from restaurants, hotels, cottage rental companies, retailers, etc., are invited to come pick up a free bag of groceries at the chamber office at from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 101 Town Hall Drive.

The groceries will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

For more information, call the chamber at 252-441-8144.
