Fresh off of a very successful Mustang Spring Jam, Bearded Face Productions is proud to announce the entertainment lineup for the Second Annual Mustang Rock & Roast, which will return to Mike Dianna’s Grill Room in Corolla Oct. 19-20.

Presented by Currituck Travel & Tourism, the Second Annual Mustang Rock & Roast will serve up the ultimate music and food experience, providing festival-goers with a full weekend of live music by 14 different bands as well as North Carolina oysters and barbecue.

Saturday will be headlined by seven-piece band The Motet, known for fusing fiery funk, simmering soul and improvisational inventiveness into a full on musical phenomenon. Wild Adriatic, Big Daddy Love, Galaxy Dynamite, The Judy Chops, Urban Soil, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, and the Mustang Outreach Program student bands will be playing an eclectic blend of rock n’ roll, Appalachian rock, psychedelic electronic space rock, and Americana throughout the first day. From 2-5pm on Saturday, various local restaurants and chefs will be participating in a pork barbecue cook off. Festival-goers can sample a variety of barbecues with traditional pairings at the event.

Sunday will be headlined by Brooklyn-based nonet Turkuaz, who bring psychedelic, neon hues along with energetic funk, alternative rock, and R&B to the stage. Event guests can enjoy soul, psychedelic rock, bluegrass, progressive jazz, blues and heavy funk rock by Polyrhythmics, Songs From The Road Band, Lord Nelson, South Hill Banks, Dr. Bacon and Manday Huge on Sunday along with an authentic North Carolina oyster roast.

Lee Ross will be sitting in with a few of the bands throughout the weekend.
