Join the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island for the Winter Carnival this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The winter is a fascinating time for wildlife on the Outer Banks, full of its own curiosities and activity.

Carnival goers can learn what animals do in the winter months, test their tracking skills, and make and take home a pine cone feeder for birds.

The aquarium will offer games, winter activities and even indoor snow! For those who like to celebrate by dressing up, there will be a Winter Costume contest at 2:30 p.m.

The Winter Carnival is included with regular aquarium admission and all families are invited to participate.
