FCA fall fundraisers in KDH, Elizabeth City to feature NC State great Tommy Burleson

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will hold its first of two back-to-back Fall Fundraiser Benefits on Monday, October 21, 2019, at the Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills, followed by the second Benefit, Tuesday, October 22, at the Carolina Center in Elizabeth City.

This year’s event will feature Tommy Burleson, former NC State Wolfpack player, who was part of their incredible 1974 NCAA National Championship team. Burleson was also a part of the 1972 US Olympic Silver Medal basketball team, as well as a member of the NBA All Rookie team following his 1974-75 campaign. Burleson was named to the ACC 50th Anniversary men’s basketball team, honoring the fifty greatest players in Atlantic Coast Conference history in 2002.

Doors open at 6:00 pm. Enjoy the buffet and bid on NC State memorabilia in the silent auction anytime between 6:00 and 7:00 pm. The program will run from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Tables of eight can be hosted for $325. For information about hosting a table, individual seats, or sponsorships, please contact Northeast NC FCA Area Director Scott Williams at 252.564.2465 or Swilliams@fca.org or visit www.nencfca.org. The deadline for reservations is October 16.

These events highlight and celebrate this past year’s ministry growth and raise funds necessary to support the local FCA chapter serving Northeast North Carolina, which includes Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank, and Perquimans counties.

Along with Burleson, local coaches and athletes will also be on hand to share about FCA’s impact on their campuses throughout Northeast North Carolina at the collegiate, high school, and middle school level.

Businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals can host tables of eight for $325 each. To reserve your table, contact FCA Area Director Scott Williams at Swilliams@fca.org or 252.564.2465. All proceeds will help FCA continue to impact Northeast NC and meet the growing needs of this life-changing organization.

FCA is one of the largest Christian sports ministries in the world and focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. For 65 years, FCA has sought to impact the world through the influence of athletes and coaches.
