Bring the fam and watch “A Bugs Life” at Dowdy Park this Friday

The Spring Community Movie Night is set for Friday, May 24, at Nags Head’s Dowdy Park, featuing Disney’s “A Bugs Life”.

“A Bugs Life” involves a misfit ant who is looking for “tough warriors” to save his colony from greedy grasshoppers, only to recruit a group of bugs that turn out to be an inept circus troupe.

The animated film features the voices of Dave Foley, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Hayden Panettiere, Brad Garret and many others and is inspired by Aesop’s fable The Ant And The Grasshopper.

This free community night is open to everyone. Dowdy Park will open at 6 p.m., with the movie beginning at 6:45. Free popcorn, candy and water will be provided.

Or bring your own blankets and chairs, pack a picnic and bring your own food and beverages for a free family fun night.
