Teresa Jean Spruill Wesner, age 66, passed away on May 23rd, 2023 in Hertford, NC. Teresa was born on August 14th, 1956 in Manistee, MI to the late Edward Johnson Spruill and Mary Jean Marino Jones.
Teresa was a hardworking woman who spent most of her career as an accountant for an auto body shop. She had a passion for fixing cars and was always quick to jump under the hood to lend a hand. Her interests also included her love for animals; she was a giver and a lover, always trying to save the world.
Teresa will be remembered by her family as a very compassionate person who cared deeply for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Johnson Spruill and Mary Jean Marino Jones, her brother, Eddie Spruill, and was the widower of Charles Clayton Wesner.
Teresa is survived by her daughter Michelle Fisher (Jed) of Hertford, NC; sons, Charles Wesner (Lauren) of Newport News, VA, Michael Farrenholz of Currituck, NC, Thomas Rowsey (Mike) of Currituck, NC, and Christopher McLaurin (Heather) of Camden, NC; a sister, Susie Spruill, of Currituck, NC; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date to honor Teresa’s memory. Teresa will always be remembered for her kind and caring spirit and the impact she had on those around her.
