Go freezin’ for a reason for Special Olympics Dare County during the 2022 Polar Plunge will be held at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head on Tuesday, February 22, from 10 to 11 a.m.

If you are a person with intellectual disabilities, you encounter adversities daily. You must have courage to try something that doesn’t come easily to you.

Special Olympics Dare County athletes bravely face challenges on the field, in the pool and on the court. They are the inspiration for this event.

The funds raised will provide year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health services to Special Olympics athletes in our community. Be brrrr-ave and take the Plunge!

Every dollar donated helps support Special Olympics athletes across Dare County.

$50 gets you in the plunge and you will receive the 2022 Polar Plunge T-shirt. You can also register as a Polar Plunge of 5 team for $250.
