Are you in search of the perfect fur-ever friend? A new addition to the family, perhaps? OBX Today in partnership with the Outer Banks SPCA is proud to present “Tail Waggin’ Tuesdays.”
Each Tuesday, browse our provided selection of videos and images and follow along as we showcase a variety of pets that are currently awaiting adoption at our local animal shelter.
This week’s featured pets are Cove & Pirate, Bailey, John, and Dash! Verbiage is provided by shelter manager Leann Saunders:
Cove & Pirate
Cove and Pirate were found together tied to a pole underneath the Pirates Cove Bridge. We have not been able to find the owner and are currently holding them through the 8th and at that time they will become available for adoption. We are estimating Cove being about 3 years old and Pirate about 7. They both seem to do well with other dogs and we are looking forward to being able to find them the home they deserve. They are not bonded but if someone wanted to adopt them together we would allow that!
Bailey
Bailey is about 9 months old. She was adopted from our care as an 8 week old puppy but was sadly returned due to landlord issues. Her previous family moved and were not able to take Bailey with them. Bailey is the sweetest and loves attention! She enjoys being outside, is house trained, and can home with a cat or dog!
John
John is about one month old. He was brought in from Kill Devil Hills and even though he is tiny, his little spunky attitude is beyond funny! John will require daily weight checks and three times a day feeding with wet food, to make sure he is gaining the appropriate amount of weight.
Dash
Dash is about 3 months old. He was a transfer in from a high kill shelter. We were so fortunate to have the space to be able to take him in and help save him. We are looking forward to helping him find the home he deserves.
To adopt Cove & Pirate, Bailey, John, Dash, or any of the other shelter animals, visit the Outer Banks SPCA Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or give them a call at 252-475-5620.
