Swim into spring at the N.C. Aquarium with a Sea Turtle Egg Hunt

Flip your fins towards the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island for a turtle-y awesome twist on a springtime tradition. The popular Sea Turtle Egg Hunt will return on Saturday, April 20 with a session at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Children will learn all about these marine reptiles, and even see a loggerhead sea turtle up-close during a presentation by an aquarium educator.

Then it’s time to get crafty and create a basket featuring recycled materials that will be used during the program’s finale – a hunt for treat-filled eggs on the aquarium grounds!

This event is designed for children ages 3 to 7 and costs $15 per child plus regular aquarium admission, or $13.50 for N.C. Aquarium members. The Sea Turtle Egg Hunt will be held rain or shine. Visit ncaquariums.com/roanoke-island for details and to register today.

The N.C. Aquarium on Roanoke Island is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is dedicated to the mission of “Inspiring appreciation and conservation of North Carolina’s aquatic environments.” The Aquarium is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
