Kill Devil Hills- Susan Marie Harvey-Sobczak 61 died peacefully Monday Mach 9, 2020 at the Baum Bay residence. Born in Baltimore City, MD, Susan was the daughter of Edwin and Marie Cross who preceded her in death.
After retirement, Susan enjoyed a simple life of gardening and fishing. She is survived by her husband of more than 25 years, John L. Sobczak Jr. ; her two daughters, Christina Harvey of Baltimore, MD and Jennifer Fox (Brent) also of Baltimore; her son, John L. Sobczak III (Marcy) of Sparks, Md; her sister, Nancy Cross of West Virginia; and her five grandchildren Emma, Finley, Hayden, Samantha, and Kolby as well as numerous friends and neighbors.
The family is honoring Susan’s wishes for cremation. There are no plans for local services at this time and Susan’s urn will sent home to Maryland.
